Kanban
A lean workflow management method that visualizes work as it moves through stages on a Kanban board. Work items are represented as cards that flow through columns (e.g., To Do, In Progress, Review, Done). Kanban's core principles include: visualize the workflow, limit work in progress, manage flow, make policies explicit, and improve collaboratively. Unlike Scrum, Kanban has no sprints, fixed-length iterations, or prescribed roles. Work is pulled continuously based on team capacity rather than pushed in batches. Kanban is particularly well-suited for support, maintenance, and operations teams where work arrives unpredictably.
